Conestoga streak out to early lead and holds on in OT to down Plymouth Whitemarsh

Seventy-two points is enough to win on most nights, but this wasn’t most nights. The visiting Pioneers connected on 10 three-pointers – six in a first quarter that saw them open up a 26-9 lead. At halftime, Conestoga led 41-27, and it was an uphill batter for the Colonials, who still trailed 58-44 heading into the final quarter. They outscored the Pioneers 25-11 in the final eight minutes, but it wasn’t enough.
The loss overshadowed the glittering 29-point effort of Caelin Peters, who scored nine points in the second quarter and 12 in the first half. He buried four three-pointers in the second half – three in a fourth quarter that saw Peters erupt for 14 points. Anthony Straface added 16 points – 13 in the second half. Naheem McLeod added 11 points.
Milton Robinson’s 28 points – which included four threes – led the Pioneers.
