The Conestoga Pioneers’ conquest continued Dec. 27 with a 57-37 victory against the Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers, stretching their win streak to five games.

It was a busy night for junior whirlwind Rowan Miller, who scored 22 points to go along with 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals. But he got plenty of help from Shane O`Brien, another junior, who finished with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Sam Gibbs also stood out with 7 points and 6 rebounds.

Coach Sean Forcine commented that he “was pleased with our defensive effort and our rebounding. We outrebounded them 25-14. Our guards all attacked the basket well. In the second half, we shifted our focus from shooting threes to getting to the rim.”

Conestoga is now 7-1 overall and 4-0 in the Central League. Pioneers will return to conference competition on Jan. 3 when Haverford visits the PIT for a 7 p.m. tip-off.
