Pioneers 15-5 with 2 games remaining

With Cory Hogan leading the way, Conestoga secured another central league victory (44-36) at Upper Darby Jan. 30.

The 15-5 Pioneers look to finish strong with two games remaining in the regular season, keeping the pressure on Penncrest and Lower Merion.

Hogan, a 6-4 junior, matched his career high with 19 points while snaring 6 rebounds for the Pioneers, who kept the upper hand most of the night.

As usual, Conestoga got a solid performance from point guard Rowan Miller, who did a little bit of everything with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists. Ben Robinson was steady again with 6 points and 6 rebounds.

It was Shane O’Brien’s turn to battle flu symptoms, but he came through with 8 points and 2 rebounds before sitting out much of the second half.

Coach Sean Forcine was happy to come out with a win. Forcine’s forces will return to action Feb. 1 at 2:30 p.m. with a final home game against Garnet Valley.
