February 7 vs. Haverford:

Conestoga Freshman Boys (11-4) could not avenge an earlier loss this season to Haverford High and lost a physical, hard fought battle by a score of 28-34.  Both the Pioneers and Fords were playing aggressively from the start and both teams found it difficult to score.  It was 8-8 after one quarter and 12-14 at the half.  In the second half, the trend continued of scrappy defense, diving for loose balls and hard fouls.  Down 18-24 at the start of the 4th, Dom Barzak’s 7 points, and a three-pointer from Quinn Borger was not enough to secure the win.  Barzak finished with 9 points.  Riley Deshelter contributed 6 points and 3 rebounds, and Scotty Smith contributed 4 rebounds and all-out hustle in his minutes played.
