JV pulls away for 45-26 victory over Marple Newtown

The team sported their pink shirts and took a big win in support of local breast cancer group “Unite for Her.”
Steele started the first quarter with a smooth three-pointer, while Deshetler, McGovern and mayock led the Stoga defense the entire length of the floor. Barzcak got hot in the second quarter with two three-pointers and several athletic drives to the basket to end the half with a 22-11 lead.
Big man Emory made an appearance to start the second half, while Liedtke did what he does best from the three-point line. Marple Newtown didn’t know what hit them as Deshetler continually stormed the basket.
DiMarino sealed the fourth quarter with his signature shot, and Troy drew a foul underneath. As the margin continued to widen, supportive shouts from the Stoga stands prompted Coach to clear the bench and end with an impressive win, 45-26.
