Stoga Falls to Lower Merion 39-51; Playoff Spot in Jeopardy

The Conestoga Boys Varsity Basketball Team faced off against Lower Merion High School in hopes of beating the second-best team in the league. The Pioneers started off amazing, scoring at will and playing patient offense as well as locking down the perimeter and paint and rebounding like their life depended on it. Conestoga was able to tie the score at halftime and were hoping to perform the same way in the second half. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Although the Stoga played an amazing 4th quarter, the 3rdquarter is what cost them. Patience on offense was replaced with quick and unthinkable plays. Defensively the team broke down many times which costed them later on. Although the 4thquarter was played well by the boys, it wasn’t enough to win the game and ended up losing 39-51.

Conestoga will be traveling to a faraway Hempfield High School in their last out of league game of the season on Saturday, Feb 4, at 7:00 PM.
