Despite multiple baskets from Thomas McGovern and Wesley Brace in the first quarter, the Pioneers trailed 17-11 after one. Things took a turn for the worse in the second stanza, as the home team managed only a single basket from Deacon Mayock and trailed Academy Park 26-13 at the half.
Shane Scott scored five points to lead an 11-6 rally for Conestoga in the third quarter, and the Pioneers closed the gap to 32-24 after three. Brooks Rush and Jason Brockman also scored five points each in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough as Stoga dropped their second consecutive game, 48-39.
