JV pulls out win in double overtime against Ridley

In a low scoring affair, Shane Scott helped the JV pull out a double overtime victory with a team high 13 pts. Stoga got off to a good start in the 1st quarter scoring 9 pts and holding Ridley to a single basket. Thomas McGovern, Truth Ingram, Ronan Mayock, and Shane all had a bucket in the period. The second group helped Stoga maintain their 7 pt. lead at the half 16-9 with some timely shots from Scott Martin and Brooks and some strong rebounding from Wes Brace.
Scott opened the 3rd quarter with a 3, but after that it was all Ridley as they stormed back with a 12-0 run. Turnovers continued to plague Stoga in the 4th period as Stoga tied the score on a free throw from Evan Medley and the game was headed to OT knotted at 25-25. Shane took control in the OT with 7 points on some clutch drives to the basket and Stoga managed to hold off a last second shot attempt by Ridley to come away with the 35-33 win.
