JV rolls to 2nd straight win 48-32 over Radnor

 
The JV squad rolled to its second straight win 48-32 at Radnor. The first quarter began with defense on both sides including a nice block by Evan Medley and a steal and a layup by Shane Scott. Scott Martin scored on a drive and hit three three’s in a row, and Stoga led 13-6 after one.
At the start of the second quarter, Conestoga went to a 1-3-1 trapping defense which created a number of turnovers and run out opportunities. Connor Steele hit a 3 and had a nice feed to Wes Brace for a layup. Thomas McGovern was a strong inside presence, with several offense rebounds, and and one, and multiple steals. It was 30-11 at the half.
The complexion of the game changed in the third quarter when Radnor went on a 7-0 run and held Stoga scoreless for nearly five minutes. Miles Scott finally broke the drought with a pair of free throws, and Wes Brace had a nice tip in for two. Radnor cut the advantage for Stoga to 36-22 at the end of three.
It was Gautam Rao’s turn in the fourth quarter for Stoga, grabbing an offensive board and feeding Scott Martin for three, and then scoring two a nice return of the favor from Scott. Stoga finished strong with a 48-32 victory and Scott Martin led all scorers with 22. Next up for the JV squad is Ridley at home on Friday.
