Conestoga Upset by Neshaminy on a Last Second Shot

The Pioneers led much of the second half before Neshaminy closed with a flurry, including the winning bomb with less than a second left.

Ben Robinson put up a valiant effort for Conestoga with 16 points. Brendan Styer and Cory Hogan collected 8 points each while Rowan Miller added 7.

A pair of long-range shots in the final 15 seconds turned a five-point lead into a 49-48 loss for the stunned Conestoga High School boys basketball team Jan. 29.

Coach Sean Forcine reflected on the wild finish. “Give Neshaminy credit, they hung around and their kid made a hell of a shot.  I thought we defended that possession well. It was my fault not calling a better inbounds play to give us a chance to get back to the line. I take the blame.”

“We need to have short memories because tonight CHS play at Lower Merion and it is a big game. We gotta stay locked in and focused,” said Forcine.
