The Conestoga boys got back on the winning track by holding off visiting Central League rival Garnet Valley, 39-36 on Dec. 21.

Sophomore Rowan Miller led the way as the Pioneers snapped a two-game losing streak and improved their overall record to 4-3 and 3-2 in the league.

Miller had 12 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists while Ben Robinson contributed 8 points, 3 assists and 2 rebounds. Cory Hogan pulled down nine rebounds to go along with 6 points. Robinson exited the game after suffering a knee injury in the third quarter.

“Our goal was to win the rebounding and loose ball battles and we did both,” said head coach Sean Forcine. “I was really happy with the way we executed down the stretch. “Garnet is really physical and they’ve got great talent, they’ve given us a lot of trouble in past. I couldn’t be prouder of our boys.”

The Pioneers will return to the court Dec. 27 at 7:00 PM and Dec. 28 at the Allentown Central Catholic Holiday Tournament.
